One of the central driving forces behind Nick Horrigan’s work is to enhance or develop new spaces to engage with and explore. This sculpture directly responds to its environment through the light and shade that falls on its surfaces. The changing light through the day and direct human interaction causes a shifting sense of mass and surface quality. The union of natural and synthetic materials reflects our relationships between our built and natural environments, but above all this work is a playful celebration of light and its pivotal role in our existence.
