I wanted to take a boulder through a journey of transformations and remove from it everything solid and certain.
Brought to southern England from its home in northern Europe through molding, reconstruction and casting Rheology is an inverted object. Its solid material turned viscous, its granite grey replaced with a translucent pink alluding to product design as well as the flesh of the body. In the play between artificial and natural I want to create a disruption in our understanding of which is more real, more soft, more cold. I want to know if it is possible to turn a thing into its very other, a thing that may appear like a hyperreal mirage in the green landscape of Devon.
