Artist Statement

Following a passion for strongly form-based sculpture that responds to aesthetics within nature, I maintain a work ethos that the simplest forms are often the most beautiful.

The principle of string theory represents a complete, consistent and unified description to the structure of our universe, by proposing that it is fundamentally made up of different manifestations of one basic object best described as a ‘string.’

Digitally generated 3D models representing the maths behind string theory present a beautiful symmetry and aesthetic quality. ‘String Theory’ is an attempt by me to interpret the aesthetics of this idea, by simply connecting two halves of a circle with lines of wire, resulting in a completely symmetrical and dynamic form.
