I reference objects that already exist, in particular furniture, as it has a history and is functional. These elements mean the pieces start with their own inbuilt invisibility: we are used to seeing them as part of our everyday lives. When the forms are altered, it initiates new readings. My research has been heavily influenced by the ideas and concepts within queer theory. It is the play, history, silliness and the absurdity of queer methodologies that is present in my artwork.
