Artist Statement

I am a wood sculptor. My work ranges from large tree sculptures, to smaller, more intricate pieces in which I provoke and enhance the behavioural aspects of wood. As well as my elemental interest in woodcarving, there is a central line of enquiry that runs through my practice. This examines the cultural significance of wood, psychologically and in terms of practical usage.
