Have you ever wondered what your treasured items are worth?
Join the specialists from Lay’s Auctioneers on Tuesday 21st March 11am—3pm for a free valuation – no appointment necessary – just walk in with your antiques, fine art, Asian antiques, jewellery and/or watches.
Specialising in antiques & fine art since 1978, Lay’s Auctioneers help people buy and sell meaningful treasures through live auctions both in-person and online to a world-wide audience, hosted from their Cornish salerooms in Penzance, Lanner and Scorrier.
Their expert valuers have spotted many treasures over the years, including an inherited Chinese porcelain vase that had been collecting dust, which sold for £4,600, a mysterious oil painting originally bought at car-boot for £20, which Lay’s Auctioneers revealed to be the work of an esteemed artist Ram Kumar and which subsequently sold for an equally esteemed £170,000. A Picasso jug that was also bought at car-boot for just £3 went on to reach a hammer value of £4,600 in their specialist Cornish Art & Fine Art sale hosted in Penzance.
Perhaps that old watch lurking at the back of a drawer or the slumbering antique in the attic could turn out to be a precious and profitable treasure? Find out at this free event.
