Broomhill Estate (BE) is a brand-new immersive arts venue in the South-West and partner of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. A sanctuary for the arts which evolve in symbiosis with nature, with onsite conservation, rewilding and tree planting projects. The estate is 103 acres of pure imagination set in the heart of an ancient woodland valley. Just 15 mins from the wilds of Exmoor, a stone’s throw from the surf-Mecca; Croyde, 30 mins from picturesque Clovelly and just 10 mins from Woolacombe, the Sunday Times beach of the year 2021, Broomhill Estate is perfectly positioned for visitors seeking to escape to inspirational landscapes and immerse themselves in art and culture.
The estate houses over 300 artwork from artists including; Almuth Tebbenhoff, Andrew Stonyer, Peter Walker, Ronald Westerhuis, Jonathan Michael Ray, Giles Penny, Tim Shaw, Mike Rowles and Dorcas Casey to name but a few.
At the heart of the estate is a newly renovated, 7-bed boutique art hotel and fine dining restaurant built in 1913. Every room is unique and features a superking Roche Bobois bed topped with luxury mattress and bedding.
The bedroom designs have taken inspiration from cult classics; Moonrise Kingdom, Amelie, Velvet Goldmine, Clockwork Orange, Lost in Translation, Betty Blue and Grey Gardens. In celebration of the silver screen, the hotel also features a cinema lounge which houses authentic Hollywood props from films including Jumanji Highlander, 47 Ronin, Fight Club, Die Hard, Tomb Raider and much more…

Unwind, switch off and recoup
Each of the seven boutique bedrooms has its own unique personality and ambiance inspired by arthouse and cult films including:
Velvet Goldmine, Lost in Translation, Moonrise Kingdom, Betty Blue, Amelie, Clockwork Orange & Grey Gardens.
The rooms are set in a 1913 property, which is south facing with gloriously high ceilings. The property was refurbished in July 2021 and also now features a treatment room for ultimate relaxation.
The hotel also boasts a 50 seater restaurant and a number of immersive bars and lounges inspired by the arts. The cinema room features authentic Hollywood props from films such as: Highlander, Alien v Predator, Jumanji, Fight Club and more.

Broomhill Dining is open to the public daily for lunch and dinner until 1st September 2022, after which the restaurant will be open Wednesday – Sunday.

Artist collective
The arts programme at Broomhill Estate is founded on three core principals:
1. To actively support and fund a community of distinctive and diligent artists.
2. To contribute to the conservation and rejuvenation of the natural environment.
3. To provide a space for people to be inspired and to develop skills.
With the commerce of art and leisure, the project can continue to deliver activities to sustain the three core principals.

Royal Society of Sculptors | 11th June - 30th September

We are thrilled to announce a partnership with the Royal Society of Sculptors with an inaugural exhibition at the estate. Featuring some of the UK’s leading sculptors.
This sculpture exhibition is set within 5 acres of woodland and water gardens.Each artwork has a bespoke planting scheme which embodies the ethos of our gardens ‘Function in Form’ as well as complimenting the artwork’s aesthetic and philosophies.

Sculpture Gardens
An ancient woodland forest and wild river meadows where art & nature coexist, evolving in symbiosis.
The sculpture exhibition has been active for over 25 years and currently showcases more than 150 pieces throughout the gardens.
As a gallery, we seek and support the contemporary artist: celebrating both the traditional and modern crafts, engineering and thinking.
